Getting Video Off the Web

I did up some instructions to help out a colleague and thought I may as well share it. Instructions with screenshots attached. For firefox browser you can download and install an ‘add-on’ called ‘unplug’. http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=unplug&cat=all
After install and reopen it adds an icon of a grinning, green fish to the tool bar that upon clicking will search for all media on your current page. It then jumps to another page with options listed for download. Clicking on the appropriate file, it downloads an .flv file, which needs converting.
To convert to a useable file I used ‘isquint’- free http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/ipod_itunes/isquint.html.
I use leopard so it did not work for a while but there seems to be an update now.
To convert its an easy drag and drop on the isquint screen and click ‘start’. It adds the new file in the same location as the one you are converting.
